THIRTY YEARS EXPERIENCE AT THE SERVICE OF CUSTOMERS
Since it was founded in 1969, year after year Arcoplastica has continued to grow. Initially it was a technical company, with our first plant located in Chieri near Turin that focused on production of blisters for pens, display units and automotive components.
In 1988 the company relocated to Andezeno, still near Turin, where in the early '90s it expanded its core business to include products for the food sector, a market that requires ever more technical packaging and in very large quantities. Expansion of the range led to significant changes in Arcoplastica: a considerable increase in the workforce, quantity of products and it also marked the start of working around the clock in three shifts. As production for the food sector is extremely demanding and requires a great deal of flexibility, the company decided to assemble the machinery used to produce containers internally. An important strategic decision that meant the company could propose advanced and unique technical solutions.
To handle the increase in production, at the end of the '90s work got underway to expand the Andezeno plant: new raw materials and finished product warehouses were built, in addition to areas dedicated to R&D and production activities.
In 2003 Arcoplastica purchased its first multilayer extrusion plant that, for instance, produces materials like PP, PP.EVOH.PP, PET, PET.EVOH.PE, PS, PS.EVOH.PE.
The following year JollyPlast, a leader in production of large format thermoformed articles, became a 100% member of the Arcoplastica group, a move that significantly increased the company's product range.
Expansion of plant facilities continued and in 2006 works were completed for the new automated compactable warehouse for finished products.
Today, the Andezeno facility is complete – there are also new stocking and R&D areas – and a second multilayer extrusion plant has been installed that has further increased the company's production capacity. So Arcoplastica is an advanced, comprehensive enterprise, fully equipped to respond professionally to all requests in the plastic materials sector.
